Reason for objection:

Strong objection. This application is one of a pair with the attached property at no. 21. They lie immediately adjacent to the grade 2 listed St Raphael's church - a sensitive location. And yet the proposed works are quite grotesque & completely inappropriate to the original concept & design of both properties & their immediate surroundings, including the neighbouring church. The additions include: faux Georgian-style arched doorways, side (no. 21) & rear windows (both); julliet balconies (both fronts); multi-pane windows throughout. If permitted this application(s) would have a significantly adverse impact on the character & appearance of the streetscape in this important part of the South Riverside conservation area. It would also have a detrimental impact on the setting of the Grade II listed St Raphael's Church.
