Description of proposed works: Installation of 4 no. microcell antennas together with small GPS module (aspart of a small cell system) on the fascia of the building. These will becoloured to match the building frontage to ensure that the effect ofdevelopment on external appearance of the building is being minimised.

Reason for objection:

The application did include clear information as to the appears (or even purpose) of these boxes and cables. We are concerned that they are being proposed on a prominent wall and therefore will introduce unattractive clutter on the façade of a building which already has few redeeming features. If these boxes and cables are necessary we would like to see them placed on a recessed section of the elevation and that any cabling is channelled tight up against the edge of a recessed area so as to be less visible.
Unless changed this proposals has the potential to result in harm to the fabric and character of this part of the CA.
