Description of proposed works:
Careful recording of existing masonry, submission of samples and templates for approval, careful dismantling of stone copings and balusters, storage and protection of components for re-use. Careful removal of decayed stone components or cutting back of decayed stone to a firm substrate. Installation of new indented stone repairs and replacement of decayed stone components in new stone to match the existing, bedded and pointed in lime mortar to approved samples. Pinning of fractured stone with resin bonded threaded stainless steel dowels. Removal of loose/failed mortar generally and repointing with new lime mortar to approved samples. |

No objection. There is a great deal of detail here. We hope the repointing etc of the stonework this time will prove more durable than the previous work completed just a few years ago - at considerable inconvenience to pedestrians & road users alike.
