A meeting was held on 25.7.23 with this client, the CAAC Chair & officers (BJL, HH, RE) to negotiate a more satisfactory solution. The result was, as follows: a) fascia signage - acrylics & illuminations withdrawn, replaced by individually cut letters of reduced size, in Matt finish, unlit; b) hanging/ projecting sign - reduced in size & illumination removed.
CAAC objection withdrawn.

Reason for objection:
Signage shouldn't be plastic as this would not be in keeping with the architecture of the building or the setting next to the Clattern Bridge. (Painted real wood and/or metal lettering with lighting to face would be more suitable)
