Reason for objection:

The front elevation is acceptable but we believe that the rear should be amended to include the pitched roof as shown in Figure 38 of the design and access statement as this is more in keeping with the style of the existing property and a more sensitive design compared with the application proposals at the upper floor. In addition, the use of whitewashed bricks appears incongruous as it has not been used elsewhere in the CA. We recommend either a rendered finish or bricks in accordance with the materials used elsewhere in the property.
