Reason:

Objection.

This building is in a strategic area of special character rather than a CA. However, because of the building height & proximity to two neighbouring CAs (N Riverside & Richmond Road), the application merits our consideration.

In our view, it does not constitute a NMA because its intention to mount solar panels (at an angle) on exposed lift/ plant housing 8 storeys up could be visible from Riverside & surrounding streets & cause harm to the character & appearance of the neighbouring CAs.

Furthermore, we believe there is another planning application (22/03361) outstanding on this property to erect a new radio mast on the same lift/ plant housing. We have objected to that application; indeed it would be impossible to perform those works if the additional solar panels in 23/00177 are installed in the same space.
