Reason for objection:

Objection unless revised as below. Recent planning history of this property has been circular. The applicant was previously refused consent for a change of use from office/ commercial to residential (2 flats) for inter alia failing to establish its existing use as office space. Their subsequent assumption to treat it as residential space was also knocked back by the LPA. On purely conservation grounds, we believe bringing this vacant part of the building back into everyday use is a positive step. The changes proposed to the external elevations are fairly minimal with the exception of opaque/ obscure glazing to half of each window (for privacy). This is sub-optimal aesthetically & a better solution should be found.
