Reason:
The plan is to extend an existing single storey rear extension by 2m, to be approximately in line with the depth of an existing addition at No.189 next door. The applicant’s architect argues that considering the limited extent of the extension and the separation from the other neighbour at No. 193, together with the size of the extension overall, there would be no adverse material impact on either of the neighbours. At the front of the house, a lean-to extension would be set back from the corner of the entrance porch such that the main house would remain dominant when viewed from the street, which seems correct. Therefore overall there would seem to be no adverse impact on the character of the conservation area.
