Reason for objection:

Objection.

This PA follows our objection to 22/03408. We provided the applicant then with HE’s guidance on PV panels on historic buildings in the expectation we would see more detail about the colour, finish & installation method of the proposed panels in a full PA. All this PA clarifies, however, is ‘dark finish’ over-the-roof panels to match the existing roof colour with no further details given of the specification.

If these works are to proceed then, in our view & given the sensitivity of the setting, they should comprise a much more sympathetic solution involving integrated, not over-the-roof, panels such as those available from Tesla solar roof slates/ tiles.
