Reason for objection:

Objection. The open design of the existing porch was likely done for a reason, to make the front elevation of the property more satisfactory in proportion/ appearance. Blocking it up, therefore, would detract from this balance & the street scene. Some sort of fenestration/ other relief incorporated in this elevation would be preferable.
