Reason for objection:
We have no objection to the replacement of the existing garage and store but we consider the proposed single storey block not of sufficient quality to enhance the Conservation Area. We are not sufficiently convinced that the proposed plans are 'designed to match and be sympathetic to the main property and conservation area' as mentioned in the Design and Access Statement - do they compliment the main building? There are no clear photographs of the main building and certainly not of the rear elevation.
As the proposed building will be seen from the road we suggest that it should have a small pitch roof or a green roof rather than a felt flat roof - inappropriate for the CA. The material of the windows have not been included and should be appropriate for the CA (powdered aluminium) and of a design, together with the door, to compliment the main house.
