Description of proposed works:

Application for a Certificate of Lawful Development to evidence that the bricks used for the construction of the extension comply with condition 3 of the planning permission number 22/00997/HOU

APPRAISAL

By full committee on …… 8 May 2024 …… with …… 4 …… members present

Issued on 8 May 2024

1. Positive support
2. No objection
3. Objection
4. Objection unless revised as below
X
5. No comment/neutral
6. Lack of detail
7. Decision already issued

Reason for objection:

A thoroughly unconvincing application for a Certificate of Lawful Development as it relates only to the brickwork and the Applicant now proposes to interfere with original brickwork of the property to match that of the new extension. That will only compound the problem. It should be the other way round.
Also, the other planning breaches (eg absence of window architraves and the non-removal of existing render on the rear facade as shown on the drawings etc) are mentioned in passing by the applicant but there is no action plan here to rectify them.
All of these issues highlight exactly why we objected to the original application- the extension is far too exposed, and demanded a much higher level of care and attention to detail than has been delivered.
There is a danger that the rectifications proposed, will merely compound this.
