Reason for objection:

SCAAC does not object to the demolition of the existing property or the building of 2 new properties on this site. We do however request that the new build properties are designed to complement the existing properties in the CA using similar design cues and materials. The new build houses 12A and 12 Southborough Lane are good examples of properties that complement their surroundings in the CA. The large picture windows, grey bricks and slates are not in keeping with the prevailing style in Southborough (Georgian style windows, red bricks and red tiles). We also note that boundary treatments are not specified and so we have concerns that the properties will overlook the grade 2 listed buildings to the rear.
