Reason for objection:
Objection.
The roof windows must be of Conservation Grade and subservient to the slope of the roof and slates. The windows must not stand proud.
The street facing windows being replaced again must be of Conservation Grade and within the character context of the building.
They appear to be trying to emulate Conservation Grade windows by having closely adjacent windows giving the appearance of a vertical glazing bar alongside a split vertical opening access. We are not sufficiently familiar with this permutation and would not consider this CA grade.
We cannot find any design guidance within RBK SPDs for loft windows and orientation etc but other LPAs stipulate mid line which seems to me more realistic. We feel the drawings as produced are unrealistic of the size of window that would be eventually achieved.
