Reason for objection:

Number 25 next door is a building of townscape merit and it is important to preserve its context within the CA. Increasing the height of this building to 5 full storeys will cause harm to the CA as neighbouring buildings are 4 storeys or less - please refer to the 2014 Planning Inspectorate report PP/Z5630/A/14/2211612 which discusses this point at length. The proposed picture windows on the additional storey are also wholly out of context with the existing building, detracting from its appearance within the CA and significantly overlooking neighbouring properties.
