Reason:

No objection.

This substantial property is a positive contributor to the CA but has been empty & neglected for a number of years. We are supportive of the largely sympathetic restoration of the original building & new additions to the front & side elevations proposed here. In particular, the applicant has heeded much of the pre-application advice of officers eg on subservience & spacing and produced a scheme that should generally complement the existing character & appearance of the CA.

We do not favour the uncompromisingly modern, large & blocky new rear extension, although it would be well-screened from public view.

We note that all protected trees on the site will be retained.
