Reason for objection:

Objection.

This applicant has a fairly extensive planning history (previous refusal & withdrawal of PAs for conversion of same outbuildings). Whilst we note the proposed reduction in footprint from existing to new building, we object to the proposed zinc covered roof & timber clad facade, both of which would be clearly visible from the public highway (NB the client is wrong to say in their DAS this is not the case) & jar with the character & appearance of the CA (as conceded to some degree by the client in their DAS).

The applicant also mentions the installation of a side gate, to increase privacy. But no details/ drawings/ plans have been submitted for this feature. Any front gate high enough to ensure that the structure was not visible to the public would not be in keeping with the adjoining properties. The front of the property has a low wall and this should be maintained.
